OAK Orthopedics Raises $10,240 for Local Schools With Proceeds From Sports Physicals

OAK Orthopedics provided 512 sports physicals for local student-athletes during their 2018 Sports Physical events and raised $10,240 in proceeds, which will all be donated to the athletic departments of the schools the athletes attend. Area student-athletes from nearly 50 schools were welcome. The events took place at the practice’s Frankfort office at Highland Office Center, Building D, located at 19552 S. Harlem Ave. and their Bradley office at 400 S. Kennedy Drive, Suite 100.

OAK Orthopedics’ specialty-trained health providers offered sports physicals for local athletes entering grades 5, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 at their Frankfort office on Saturday, June 2, and at their Bradley office on Saturday, June 9, for a fee of $20, which was donated back to each athlete’s school.

“At OAK Orthopedics, we are dedicated to helping our area student-athletes stay safe and perform at their best,” says Michael J. Corcoran, M.D., orthopedic surgeon at OAK Orthopedics. “We are thankful to everyone who came in for this year’s sports physicals, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to schools while meeting an important need for student-athletes.”
