OAK Orthopedics offers cost-effective MRIs along with extended and weekend hours

OAK Orthopedics is offering unrestrictive, comfortable MRI scans to the public at a cost-effective rate with extended and weekend hours. The practice utilizes two state-of-the-art machines, performing MRIs Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to noon, in Bradley at 400 S. Kennedy Drive, Suite 100. Inquiries about MRI availability and cost assessment can be made to OAK Orthopedics by phone at (815) 928-8050.

Having tests completed at OAK Orthopedics provides significant cost savings to the patient compared to a hospital MRI. Patients can expect to receive a savings of $1,000 per test, based on an average cost comparison. These fees are based on the MRI scan only and do not include the radiologist’s fees associated with the interpretation of images, which could result in greater savings.

OAK Orthopedics offers a full range of imaging services using the Toshiba 1.5T, an advanced, whole-body MRI system with one of the largest openings in the industry, as well as the OrthOne®, an MRI machine designed specifically for extremity imaging, so a patient need only to place their injured arm or leg in the scanner for diagnostic testing. All tests are reviewed by board-certified doctors trained in MRI, and results are available within 24 to 48 hours.

“At OAK Orthopedics, we are dedicated to providing patients a convenient, cost-effective and comprehensive continuum of care,” says Paige Cripe, CEO of OAK Orthopedics. “Through our comfortable, precise machines and extended MRI hours, we can now accommodate the unique needs and schedules of patients by providing convenient, prompt diagnostic imaging at an affordable rate with the highest levels of accuracy.”
