OAK Orthopedics will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. for the future home of OAK Orthopedics, located on U.S. Route 45/52, a half-mile north of the Bourbonnais Parkway (East 6000N Road). The doctors of OAK Orthopedics and their construction team will be in attendance at the limited-scale event.
Patients in need of specialized bone, joint and muscle care now can schedule a safe appointment at the practice’s current locations in Bradley at 400 S. Kennedy Drive, Suite 100; in Frankfort at 19552 S. Harlem Ave.; in New Lenox at 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., Pavilion A; or in Watseka at 200 Fairman Ave. For an appointment in Bradley, patients can call (815) 928-8050 or (815) 469-3452 for an appointment in Frankfort. The Immediate Orthopedic Access clinic at the practice’s Bradley and Frankfort offices as well as telemedicine appointments are also available.
The plans for the future home of OAK Orthopedics include the construction of a 43,700-square-foot medical campus in Bourbonnais. Village trustees of Bourbonnais adopted an ordinance for a redevelopment agreement with OAK Orthopedics on the proposed facility, and the project has a targeted completion of January 2022.
“We are proud to bring our compassionate, specialized care to the residents of Bourbonnais and the surrounding areas, and we are excited to better serve the community through a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility,” says Wesley E. Choy, M.D., fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at OAK Orthopedics.
The new building will house OAK Orthopedics’ full-service orthopedic clinic for regular patient visits, care and consultation in addition to physical therapy and occupational therapy and a radiology suite on the first floor with MRI and X-ray. The second floor of the facility will house three state-of-the-art, oversized operating rooms as a complete ambulatory surgery center.
